Originally from Maine, but moved to the Suncoast at an early age. He grew up fishing Sarasota Bay both from shore and in a small john boat his family owned. He owes his determination and love for fishing to his dad who would spend hours silently standing in shallow water casting for whiting and trout. He is often heard saying “I have never had a bad day on the water”, to him the saltwater is his salvation.
Captain Chris is well known throughout the spearfishing community, having won several area tournaments both above the water and below it. He is a member of the Florida Guides Association, the National Association of Charter Boat Operators, and the Florida Skin Divers Association. He is a past president of the Suncoast Underwater Club, and the tournament director for the Suncoast Spearfishing Challenge, he also serves on the board for the Fire Charity Fishing Tournament.
Captain Chris has been featured in several local newspaper articles, Florida Sportsman magazine, and writes a monthly article for the local edition of the Coastal Angler. He was most recently featured for his work to help combat the invasive species of lionfish in the Gulf of Mexico.
“When you fish with Captain Chris you not only benefit from his years of experience, but also from years of experience he has gained from his family and fellow captains. He will do his best to put you on the fish and make your experience one you won’t forget. Having fun is what it is all about and hopefully it is why you will book a trip.” Bring the kids cause there is always something biting and they will have a blast. See you soon!
